Using green tea bags

Hello everyone!

I recently started drinking green tea and i didn't know what to do with the tea bags. I added green tea in my diet because i heard it has got tremendous health benefits.

1. it reduces sun damage. (yes i live in India and need this very bad :P )
2. helps with wrinkles and other anti aging signs on your skin . ( i am just 21, so don't have to worry about this for now :D)
3.it is anti bacterial and anti viral. (i usually don't recover from cold for a week. was able to recover in a day :D)
4. reduces the risk of heart decease.
5. reduces bad cholesterol .
6. reduces the risk of cancer. (Esophageal and mouth)
7.keeps your weight in check! (main reason why i started drinking :P )
8. prevents the rise of blood sugar.
9. lot more benefits! so just drink it :D

i don't use loose green tea leaves but use tea bags.
i usually drink two to three cups a day, my mom and dad just 1 cup (they hate the taste . so don't prefer) . i avoid drinking green tea after 7 because it has caffeine and i will be sleeping in 3 to 4 hours.

i am left with so many tea bags and i don't know what to do! so, i started doing this on daily basis :)

things you need:

1. rice powder

2. curd

3. turmeric (kasturi haldi)

4. used green tea bags! remove the outer cover and this is how it looks :)

to do:

 1. first mix only curd and green tea. dip cotton balls or cotton pads in this mixture and keep it aside.

2.then later to the above mixture add a pinch of turmeric and  required amount of rice powder.

3. apply it to the parts of your skin which is exposed to sun. ( i apply to my face , neck , hands and feet) **AVOID THE AREA AROUND YOUR EYES!!!**

4.put the dipped cotton pads on your eyes and relax for 20 mins!

5.then gently scrub it in upward movements ( use water if it is dry ) and wash it off.

you now have the benefits of green tea both internally and externally :D

Holy Basil ( krishna tulasi ) is considered a sacred herb in Indian mythology. It is used for various medicinal purposes too. It acts as an antioxidant, antidepressant and also as an antibacterial. it is used to cure ailments like common cold, bronchitis and also helps in reducing acne too.

krishna tulasi also has the properties of reducing or all together avoiding type 2 diabetes.

Besan instead of soap!!

It has been years since i used soap to wash myself!! (occasionally i have used soap though, during emergencies or when i am running out of time!) I have been using this from the past 6 years with no side effects! My beautician keeps saying it is strange i don't have blackheads when i used to go for a clean up
(i have oily skin ! very oily! )  . And now, i stopped going for a clean up every month :) . I don't use the same things always. I keep changing them according to the season.

THINGS YOU NEED:

SUMMER:

1. Besan/ gram flour

2. turmeric powder (kasturi haldi )

3. rose water ( try making it at home )

(i)Take required amount of gram flour, pinch of turmeric in a bowl.
(ii) Add enough rose water to make in into a paste.
(iii) use this instead of soap.

 WINTER:

For winter use coconut oil instead of rose water which helps in preventing dry skin which is one big problem in winter :( even for oily skins like mine!

FOR DRY SKIN:

raw milk can be used for dry skin instead of rose water.

FOR TAN:

use curd instead of rose water and leave it on your skin for 20 minutes or until it dries. wash is of with water.
people with oily skin can also use this :)

PS: there are few people who want to experience that "soapy" feeling when the take bath. For this, take kunkudkai/ soap nut/ reetha , crush them with a hard material and remove the seed inside. Soak it in water for 3 to 4 hours (over night is better) and then mash it with your hand till the water turns brownish. Add this water to get that soapy and clean feeling you get when you use soap. :) :)

NOTE!!!!!

there are few of my friends who complain they get rashes if they use besan powder. Sensitive skin please DO NOT USE THIS!
